Putin is Good - Canada is bad - how the cards are being played

I was thinking … is the world getting more insane with each passing day or we have a new normal which our leaders want to make us believe it is necessary? After reading president Trumps statements regarding Russia, and his allied country Canada, it seems that we are in for the jackpot of both combined.

It begs the question, after all what is happening, if this was always the case and was sold to us too well or we are going through a phase caused by megalomaniac people who believe war and global politics is something to be toyed with, like playing football in the backyard. We all remember that the one with the ball was also one of the sensitive ones, who if annoyed, took it’s ball and went home. Something similar is happening in the USA right now, or certainly seems so, looking from across the ocean. Almost each week, if not daily, comes a new headline which makes me question the sanity of the involved parties. From the war in Ukraine, to the oil and energy crisis to the broken alliances, everything seems that is going from bad to worse and it is not slowing down. The positives are that the richest people in the world are getting richer, while common people are slowly not able to afford having more than one child or buying a house , with 2 incomes in household. Crazy times.

Coming back to the the topic at hand, Trump decided to make another “good“ joke and declare that Putin is pretty much a friend. At least some members of his staff mentioned the fact that we have of course a joke at hand, even though I highly doubt it, coming from our “favorite” business man which happens to be also president of the USA. I don’t know international politics, but the feel was like a slap to the people who fought in Putin’s war and for all the lives and years lost. And not only them … democracy itself is seeing it’s foundations shaken to the ground, when someone with Trump’s status, comes and makes such statements after making a business deal with the devil.

There is no curtain … we are being served live how business trumps democracy, trumps common sense, trumps our freedom(pun intended). This has to stop Now. We should not let in a democracy, where the people are (or should be) the decisional body, one person to ruin everything. Our good relations with the USA are being questioned more and more because of one man who has the audacity (typical for a narcissist and a Mythomaniac) to make statements like (and I am paraphrasing) “Canada should be the 51 State“, “We should buy Greenland“. There is no common sense anymore and we are feeling it directly with each new statement.

I started by saying that maybe this is now the norm. It is NOT. People like senator Bernie Sanders are actively fighting the megalomaniac plans of destroying democracy but begs the question if he has the necessary support and strength. The common folk I am pretty sure has had enough as they notice daily how the system in which they live in, is getting more and more corrupted. How a few people are evaluated at unimaginable sums of money while others are struggling with 2 jobs just to make ends meet.

With the raise of AI we have the possibility to reduce the number of worked hours, for the first time since the industrial revolution, further to maybe 3-4 days a week. Such enablement would guarantee a spike in wellbeing of all working classes, having more time for you and your children being currently so understated. We are slowly developing tools that could create an utopia, or in the hands of others motivate companies to lay off thousands of workers with an email… !

We should fight for our freedom for our relations, for our democracy with everything we have. The alternative, scares me more, as as of now, it seems we are running head first into a wall build with lies, deceptions and narcissistic decisions.

Until next time, TFG
